Man, if you could have seen the frustration in his face after the third pick yesterday. it was scary.

"I promise I'll do better" :biglaugh:

He knows he doesn't deserve all that hype. He knows he's a below average qb. He knows hes a charlatan, a fake, a fraud and a phony.

hey, if somebody wanted to give you forty million, would you take it? sure you would, damn the torpedoes, superbowl here we come!

but Denver is football crazy. they have their dignity (unlike us poor cards fans) and an image of superbowls past and future to protect.

Jake knows what its like to have a fan base turn on him. To be a god one day and a goat the next. Very unpleasant. Now multiply the mutiny at sundevil stadium by a factor of ten. Imagine mobs with pitchforks and torches screaming for the blood of a simple boy from Idaho.

With time winding down in Cincinnati, jake stood by himself on the sideline. Occasionally, a teammate would come up to him, shake his hand, pat him on the back, tell him, don't worry about it/you did ok.

but he barely even noticed them. his mouth was turned down in a tight grimace. His eyes were far away and distant. Every human hates criticism. Every man has his breaking point. maybe jake was wondering just how much he'll be able to take if things get bad in Denver this year.

he will not have to worry about it after a few games.he will just be a high paid josh mccown/preston parsons standing on the sidelines in a hat.

upon further review and looking at his stats...it was worse than I thought from watching the game on the 2nd screen (no sound - picture in picture)..a 27 qb rating..

The funny thing is, this is EXACTLY how he was on our sidelines...One of my friends mentioned it a couple of years ago...from then on out, I tried to see what plummer was doing on the sidelines, I must have seen him alone on the sidelines 10 yards from any player like 20 times...He goes into a cocoon...He psychs himself out I think...I don't know..

But it isn't good when your leader is stone cold on the sidelines...at least that's my opinion.

You would think he would be working on what went wrong, or right with some of the offensive players, talking to the coaches, making his ol feel good, or praising the d...

I don't know, he does have different qualities when he plays.

He takes charge but the way he does that has always made me wonder why he does and makes me wonder if that could be part of his problem. Just a thought.

We'll see what happens over the next few weeks. Every QB has a bad day we'll see if it persists. I still think he'll shine... Now back to what this board is about...THE CARDS.
