Jake Plummer never lost to Tom Brady, but he does not see that perfect record as a personal victory over the NFL GOAT.
Plummer went 3-0 in games where he started opposite Brady, including a playoff win that snapped a legendary postseason run. He could easily wear it as a badge of honor.
Instead, he gives the credit to the teams around him and says he is still waiting for a true one-on-one challenge.

Jake Plummer wants a real one-on-one showdown with Tom Brady
In a recent Jake Plummer X post, the former quarterback explained why he does not see his record against Brady as something he earned alone.
“It’s cool and all, but I never actually beat Tom at anything by myself, that’s why I would love to challenge him to a game of ping pong, horse, horseshoes, anything where it would be me vs him!” Plummer said.
He added, “Then I can say what my record is against Tom! I played for some damn good teams that rose up to the challenge!”
It is a reminder that football is rarely decided by quarterbacks alone. While Plummer’s name is attached to those wins, he knows they were built on defense, coaching and team play.
That is why he jokes about wanting a one-on-one matchup. In ping-pong or horseshoe, there would be no confusion about who actually won.
Jake Plummer’s record against Tom Brady is still one of a kind
Even if he downplays it, Plummer’s record stands out. He is the only quarterback to go 3-0 or better against Brady, whose career included seven Super Bowl titles.
The most memorable of those wins came in the 2005 playoffs, when Plummer’s Denver Broncos beat the New England Patriots 27-13. That game handed Brady the first postseason loss of his career and ended New England’s 10-game playoff winning streak.
Plummer also picked up a regular-season win over Brady that same year, when Denver beat New England 28-20, along with another victory from earlier in their careers.
Other quarterbacks, including Nick Foles, Lamar Jackson and Cam Newton, finished 2-0 against Brady. None matched Plummer’s 3-0 mark.
That is what makes his answer so good. Plummer respects the stat, but he is not interested in turning a team accomplishment into an individual boast.
