Steve Kerr has played with some of the best defenders in the history of the game, such as Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman. However, none of those players have impressed him more than one of his Golden State Warriors players.

On Monday, Kerr guided his Warriors to a 109-106 victory over the Houston Rockets, allowing them to take a 3-1 lead in the NBA playoff series. However, the Dubs wouldn't have won without Draymond Green.

Green finished with just six points in the win, but his presence was felt on the defensive end. He had seven defensive boards and finished with a plus-minus rating of +17, tied with Buddy Hield for the best in the game.

The veteran forward's best moment came in the final seconds, when he locked up Alperen Sengun defensively as the Rockets star was trying to post him up in an attempt to hit a potential game-winner.

In his postgame press conference, Steve Kerr didn't hold back in his praise of Draymond Green. When asked to rate his confidence level in Green guarding a player posting him up with the game on the line, the Warriors coach gave him a perfect 100.

Simply put, there's no doubt in Kerr's mind that Green would be able to deliver in such a critical moment.

"He's the best defender I've ever seen in my life," Kerr proceeded to say.

While some would argue with Kerr's take, the fact remains that Green has consistently delivered for the Warriors defensively.

Throughout the 2024-25 season, Green anchored Golden State's defense that finished in the top 10 in the NBA in defensive rating. As a result, he was recognized as a Defensive Player of the Year finalist.

Green is also a one-time Defensive Player of the Year and an eight-time member of the All-NBA Defensive Team. With that said, he definitely has the accolades to back up Kerr's claim.
