The Golden State Warriors endured a difficult night against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday, April 23. Jimmy Butler went down with an injury, the team lost, and the Rockets crowd was vocally disrespectful toward Draymond Green throughout the night. At multiple points in the game, the crowd could be heard chanting obscenities toward the veteran forward.

When speaking to the media after the game, head coach Steve Kerr shared his disappointment in the treatment Green received. Kerr noted how the Warriors had endured similar treatment during their 2022 NBA Finals series against the Boston Celtics. Klay Thompson was the target of Boston's fan base, though.

"I would prefer if fans could use a little more discretion and remember that the guy has kids," Kerr said. "Maybe I'm old school. I'm all for the fans cheering for their team, and if they want to yell at the opponents, great. I just think FU is a little much."

After two games on the road, the Warriors will now head back to the Bay Area, as they look to regain control of the series. Houston managed to tie things up at 1-1 on Wednesday. The Warriors' chances of success took a significant blow when Butler went down. However, the team is still awaiting the results of an MRI, so there's still no telling whether he will be fit for game three on Saturday, April 26.

With Golden State back in front of a hometown crowd, Green will have a reprieve from any negativity from the watching crowd. However, he may need to brace himself for game four, especially if Rockets fans believe their antics were getting to him.
