We are less than a month away from the start of the Pittsburgh Steelers training camp and there's a ton of excitement with this new roster and new coaching staff. We've updated our 53-man roster projection and there are two names missing we need to clarify.

In this prediction, quarterback Mason Rudolph is a late addition to the IR and the Steelers keep him tucked away there in case of an emergency. We also don't have rookie running back Eli Heidenreich on the roster as of now. We believe he deserves to make the team, but it's a numbers game. If Heidenreich can't make the final roster, he's a great candidate for the practice squad.

Here is our latest 53-man roster prediction for the 2026 season.

Quarterback (3) - Aaron Rodgers, Drew Allar, Will Howard

No surprises here as we expect Aaron Rodgers to sign soon and Allar and Howard will battle it out to be his backup.

Running back (4) - Jaylen Warren, Rico Dowdle, Kaleb Johnson, Riley Nowakowski(FB)

It wasn't easy to give Kaleb Johnson a spot here and we don't see the value in Riley Nowakowski but

Wide receiver (6) - DK Metcalf, Michael Pittman Jr., Germie Bernard, Roman Wilson, Kaden Wetjen, Ben Skowronek

As much as we love the top three on this list, the bottom three worry us as far as depth.

Tight end (3) - Pat Freiermuth, Darnell Washington, Jaheim Bell

The Steelers' third tight end spot is wide open, but for now, we are giving Bell the nod.

Offensive tackle (4) - Troy Fautanu, Jack Driscoll, Dylan Cook, Max Iheanachor

The start of Jones' season is in jeopardy but we love this group regardless.

Interior offensive line (5) - Zach Frazier, Mason McCormick, Gennings Dunker, Brock Hoffman, Spencer Anderson

A great young group led by Frazier and McCormick.

Defensive line (6) - Cam Heyward, Keeanu Benton, Derrick Harmon, Yahya Black, Sebastian Joseph-Day, Logan Lee

There's a ton of pressure on this group, especially Keeanu Benton and Derrick Harmon to take that next step.

Outside linebacker (4) - T.J. Watt, Alex Highsmith, Nick Herbig, Jack sawyer

All the usual suspects here, they just need to play much better.

Inside linebacker (5) - Payton Wilson, Patrick Queen, Malik Harrison, Carson Bruener, Cole Holcomb

Another group with plenty of talent that just need to play better.

Cornerback (6) - Joey Porter Jr., Jamel Dean, Jalen Ramsey, Brandin Echols, Asante Samuel Jr., Daylen Everett

This group is great, with a ton of depth and talent. The emergence of Everett at camp really helps here.

Safety (3) - DeShon Elliott, Jaquan Brisker, Robert Spears-Jennings

We left this group at three because of Ramsey but we like Sebastian Castro if there's room for him.

Special teams (4) - Chris Boswell, Cameron Johnston, Christian Kuntz

The usual suspects here.
