When the Pittsburgh Steelers get together in a few weeks for training camp, the bulk of the team's 53-man roster is already set. Yes, there are a few position battles to keep an eye on and closer to camp we will talk about guys on the roster bubble but for many players, it isn't about making the team. It's all about proving to the team and the fans they deserve their role. Here are four to watch.

Wide receiver - Roman Wilson

We all want to talk about Roman Wilson getting a fresh start with new head coach Mike McCarthy but the reality is that McCarthy owes him nothing. The Steelers drafted Germie Bernard to take his job and he gets no preferential treatment in trying to keep it.

Offensive tackle - Dylan Cook

The hold that Dylan Cook has on the right tackle spot is tenuous at best. Even if Broderick Jones isn't healthy at the start of the season, Pittsburgh drafted Max Iheanachor in the first round to start so Cook cannot be complacent with his spot on the depth chart.

Tight end - Darnell Washington

We acknowledge that Darnell Washington is a fan favorite but after a signing a big new contract, can he be a consistent producer in the offense and more than a novelty?

Linebacker - Payton Wilson

There's no doubt that former Head coach Mike Tomlin wanted Patrick Queen on the field more than Payton Wilson. This was despite Queen's level of play. Similar to Roman Wilson, there's nothing guaranteed for Wilson under McCarthy and he will have to show defensive coordinator Patrick Graham he can be valuable on passing downs to earn more reps.
