St. Lawrence Central and Tupper Lake advanced to the Class C title game and Gouverneur claimed its first Class A championship in Friday’s action from the Section 10 Girls Softball Tournament.
Top seeded SLC cruised past Lisbon 15-1, Tupper Lake shaded Brushton-Moira 13-11 and Gouverneur bested Malone 14-3 after outscoring Massena 10-9 in the semi-finals.
SLC 15 - Lisbon 1: AJ Sweet struck out six in a three-hitter and stroked two singles for the Larries who advanced past last year’s champion Lisbon. Avery Marcil tripled and scored three runs along with Stella Todd and Brianna Williams, Maddy Bernard, Mary Cate Dow, Jade Bejjani and Kyleigh Bedard all singled.
Logan Carr, Adia Richards and Lilly Dishaw singled for Lisbon.
