So many believe Simpson at #3 is just too high.
He’s been playing a pro style offense. He’s adapt under center and play action.
We need a qb.
Will we look back in a year or two and say we could of had him but screwed up again?
What if you knew Sean McVay was going to draft him? The Rams are in the perfect spot to groom Staffords replacement.
Can you imagine Simpson blossoming and having to face him twice a year for the next 10 years?

I would rather take a flyer on Trinidad Chambliss in the second or 3rd, depending on is ability to rise based on workouts. He seem to have a lot more upside IMHO based on his recent development.

All good questions, Slanidrac. I will say that fit and coaching matters a lot, so what if McVay’s lieutenant becomes the head coach with the Cards?

Exactly! If Lafluer comes here he might want ( demand) Simpson. If that were the case I would feel better than Monti making that decision.

Just because we need a QB, does not make Simpson a good pick. The only QB of the future I see is Mendoza. We have plenty of other needs we can solve with the #3 pick.
Yeah taking Simpson feels like wasting a top 5 pick on Zach Wilson.

It could be the right move but I wouldnt want him to start a single game next year if we did take him.
