I'm not sure about the Mavericks trade. I guess they really wanted to trade Porzingis.

Porzingis to Wizards.

WHOA!

For what? Did they dump Bertans on them?

Edit: Ok, that was a bad move by Dallas.

I kind of like Dinwiddie, but bertans is unplayable for a playoff team.

So the Suns were granted the Diabled Player Exception after all the discussion about it.

The Suns obtained Aaron Holiday for cash.

Like the trade for Craig. Had to move on from Stic after not picking up his option and big men PFs don’t fit terribly well on this team.

Aaron Holiday is also without a doubt better than Payton. Hopefully Payton was a part of that trade.

Craig played because the frontcourt was thin. And Cam Johnson only played 21 mpg in the playoffs which isn’t happening again.
He will play when we have to play a small ball lineup, and GS will force us to do that.

Nets and Sixers pulled the trigger.

I think it’s A great trade for both teams. Simmons gets to play the Draymond role and gives the Nets a great defender and another shooter.

And I think Harden has been sandbagging and will make for a potent 1-2 punch with Embiid.
And dragic likely back to
Miami. Means bucks, nets, sixers, and heat likely all improved.

Weird. I’ve been told over and over again how the Suns first couldn’t and then wouldn’t use a Disabled Player Exception for Dario anyway.

Actually, I recall being mocked multiple times for actually bringing up the idea.

Stupid me to suggest such a thing.

So, I am assuming Payton and Nadar are getting cut. I am happy just not having to watch Payton anymore.

Overall I think these two moves are decent, about what I was expecting.

I think they filled two of our biggest weaknesses.

Was kind of hoping for a Gordon move, but did not expect it. If Shamet could just start shooting 40% from 3 again we will be really really hard to beat.

The thing is, why wasn't it announced.

I would rather force the Warriors to go big…
We tried that in the last 2 games, and they beat us pretty badly when we did. And that was before they had Klay back.

I know people want Ayton to be some kind of post up force, but he just isn't.
