On Monday, following the Indianapolis Colts' Week 15 loss to Seattle, head coach Shane Steichen provided a brief update on left tackle Bernhard Raimann.
In Sunday's game, Raimann would exit the contest with an elbow injury. He ended up playing only 34 offensive snaps.
As far as Raimann's potential availability this week against San Francisco, "we'll see how the week goes," said Steichen.
In Raimann's place, Luke Tenuta stepped in for his first regular-season snap since the 2022 season. Tenutal surrendered one quarterback pressure in 13 pass-blocking snaps, but struggled in the run game, according to PFF's metrics.
The Colts are also navigating an injury at right tackle with Braden Smith on injured reserve. That leaves Day 3 draft pick and rookie Jalen Travis starting for Smith on the right side.
Against Seattle's stout pass rush, Phillip Rivers was kept clean as the Colts leaned into the quick passing game. The run game, however, struggled to generate chunk plays.
Out of 62 eligible offensive tackles entering Week 15, Raimann ranked 27th in Pro Football Focus' pass-blocking efficiency. As a run blocker, he ranked fourth among tackles in ESPN's run-blocking win rate.
