I don't like that Bridges's on-court contributions are being way overhyped to compensate for his off-court problems. He's just not that good a player. Even if he were a model citizen off the court, this would be a questionable move.
I would generally ague the opposite. People are so down on the off the court stuff that they are downplaying his impact on court.

He’s a solid starter not sure what’s being overhyped

I agree Miles Bridges as a player is more than capable of starting. I'm not overly focused on this part.

Actually, the Suns have four players that could start at power forward if push came to shove: Bridges, Brooks, Fleming and Peat. If we throw in Highsmith, that's five.

That's a good situation. This is why I'm more concerned about the center position, although it looks good on paper.

Who is over hyping his on court play? I'm not seeing that anywhere.

People that are under the delusion that the front office thinks this makes us contenders. They don't.

This was just a move to get a little younger and slightly upgrade. If this was the best they could get for Royce and Grayson it's fully understandable why they did the deal.

I haven't seen anyone call us contenders. The most I've seen is it makes us slightly better as a team but we're still a 4-6 seed, or even a play in squad.

Suns will have media availability for Miles Bridges next week as they are currently in Vegas for summer league this week
How convenient. Funny how all these others Suns are talking to the media, the GM is interviewed during the game. They couldn't throw up a Suns backdrop and do the deed? The whole Suns media team is there.

Or maybe his ex won't let go of him. He was clearly wrong in the past. That doesn't mean he is in the present. Not enough info to draw conclusions about recent stuff.
Sure JC, just a victim of circumstance. Amazing that he continues to have issues! Again - the main point here is people seem to think he'll move the needle. Based on how he's played so far in his career, that's not the case. He's not going to move us from a play in team to a top 5 team.

Why risk it on a guy that like him? Why give up an unprotected 33 pick? Makes no sense.

Current trend of NBA seems that players on the court should be able to make plays with the ball, as much as possible. Every starter of the champion NYK can do so, with Brunson among the best in the league, and Hart a bit weaker. Among Spurs starters, only Champagnie cannot do so, but they have Harper as 6th man. Suns had only 2.5 play makers in Book and Green, and Brooks as .5. With MB, they have 3.5 playmakers now. Once Peat and Oso and Gillspie mature more, they'd in addition have 3 more on the bench.

It's only Summer League, so you cannot translate directly to the NBA, but Peat looks like he will be a playmaker.
