On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download Forza Motorsport 5: Racing Game of the Year Edition ($39.99 ERP) for free during the month of September. Oxenfree ($19.99 ERP) will be available as a free download from September 16th to October 15th.

On Xbox 360, starting September 1st, Hydro Thunder Hurricane ($14.99 ERP) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through September 15th. Then on September 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can download Battlefield 3 ($19.99 ERP) for free through September 30th.

My son will enjoy the racing games. Otherwise.... Meh.

Forza 5 is solid but repetitive. It's a technical racer (not arcade style) so you actually have to break for corners & drive like a somewhat real car. Also, it's not open world, you choose the race & car & the race starts.

Hydro Thunder looks fun... looking forward to that.

Oxenfree has very good reviews 8/10 metacritic, 9/10 ign. It's another adventure game where your choices change the story. Apparently there's lots of dialogue & it's only about 4 hours long. I'll give it a try eventualy.
