There’s no telling how much better Seattle Seahawks safety Nick Emmanwori will be next season.
With the rookie year that Emmanwori had last season, a sizable jump is to be expected from the 2025 AP Defensive Rookie of the Year runner-up. The South Carolina product was a bright spot in the Seahawks’ defense last season, having recorded an interception, 2.5 sacks and 11 passes defended on the year, and even greater production is likely on the horizon for him in 2026.
According to Bleacher Report’s Brad Gagnon, Emmanwori is the Seahawks’ most important second-year player to watch next season.
Emmanwori was projected to have a better chance at becoming a full-blown star in 2026 over Seahawks left guard Grey Zabel, who was taken ahead of Emmanwori in last year’s draft with the No. 18 overall pick in the first round of the event.
Next season will present Emmanwori with the opportunity to make an even greater impact handling duties all over the field when asked to. He has the potential to break out as an All-Pro-caliber performer in 2026 for the defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks.
