Is there one particular player due to have a breakout season for the Seattle Seahawks in 2026?
According to CBS Sports’ Zachary Pereles,Seahawks safety Nick Emmanwori is an under-the-radar breakout star candidate for next season.
“A strong presence in the run game, Emmanwori hits like a linebacker, runs like a cornerback, and has the size of a safety,” Pereles said. “The Seahawks lost a few notable pieces from their defense, and in Emmanwori's case, the departures of safety Coby Bryant and cornerback Riq Woolen have the biggest impact. But Emmanwori has all the tools to be an absolute star for Mike Macdonald.”
Emmanwori was the runner-up for the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year award in 2025. The South Carolina product recorded an interception, 2.5 sacks and 11 passes defended last season, and was heralded for his exceptional play and impact on Seattle’s Super Bowl-winning defense.
Next season will present Emmanwori with the opportunity to build upon the year he had as a rookie in 2025, while making an impact across the field for the Seahawks as they look to win their second consecutive Vince Lombardi Trophy in 2026.
