The Seattle Seahawks made just one final roster move ahead of today’s divisional round playoff clash with the San Francisco 49ers.
Running back Velus Jones Jr. was elevated from the practice squad. The team announced the move at 1:15 p.m. PST.
Jones will serve as the third running back behind Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet. He’ll be the only true running back depth as both of those two feature in the game plan heavily. He’s been up with the Seahawks a couple times this season, and took four carries for 32 yards in garbage time against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 14. He’s also been in on kickoff and kickoff return for the Seahawks in Weeks 13, 14 and 15.
The next big gameday news will come at 3:30 p.m. PST as inactive lists are released 90 minutes before kickoff.
