Seattle Seahawks star Grey Zabel is knocking at the door of being considered a top-shelf interior offensive lineman in the NFL.
The Associated Press released their preseason interior offensive linemen rankings on Saturday, with Zabel having missed out on ranking in the top five despite receiving votes from the group of panelists surveyed.
Zabel recorded two sacks and 24 total pressures as a rookie in 2025. When Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold was protected well in the pocket last season, which Zabel contributed toward establishing, he performed at a high level compared to when under pressure.
The 24-year-old Zabel is expected to keep Darnold protected well once again in 2026 and prove that he is not only the caliber of offensive lineman that he is at the present, but also one that will ascend toward greater heights as a second-year pro.
