He's a rookie, he's going to miss plays, he threw a TD on the prior play and Larry dropped it. But if he'd have seen Kirk was going to break open, he'd have thrown it to him

and probably taken a sack instead

Yup its called in anticipation throw. If he would have noticed the corner following the in route he would have floated it in to kirk. Its a throw you dont expect a rookie to make though
