FARGO, N.D. (KELO) — The SDSU women led nearly wire-to-wire Wednesday as they handed NDSU their first Summit League loss of the year, 59-44.

The Bison scored the first two points of the game to take the lead. SDSU would answer by scoring the next six points. The Jackrabbits never gave up the lead the rest of the game.

NDSU shot just 31.3% from the field and scored 44 points. That is a season low for points in a game this season.

SDSU led by five after one quarter and pushed the lead to nine at the break. The two played an even third quarter, but SDSU pulled away in the fourth.

Madison Mathiowetz scored a game high 23 points in the win. Brooklyn Meyer added 18.
