Super Bowl Sunday is officially here! This year’s Super Bowl matchup between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawksfeatures four former USC players: Sam Darnold, Leonard Williams, Uchenna Nwosu, and Brandon Pili.

Super Bowl LX will be played at Levi’s Stasium in Santa Clara, California. This is a venue that Darnold and Nwosu are quite familiar with, having played there when USC defeated Stanford in the 2017 Pac-12 Championship Game.

On that night, the two current Seahawks were arguably USC’s two most important players in clinching the Trojans’ only conference title of the past 17 years. Darnold threw for 325 yards and two touchdowns, while Nwosu made a key fourth down stop in the fourth quarter to propel the Trojans to a victory.

Now, more than eight years later, Darnold and Nwosu are back at Levi’s Stadium. This time, they have an even bigger prize on their mind: a Super Bowl title.

Ironically, the Patriots have been practicing at Stanford ahead of the Super Bowl. Perhaps this is a good sign for the two Trojans on Seattle’s roster who once played a key role in taking down the Farm in Santa Clara.
