METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) – Second-year Saints wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk has not taken a single snap for the Black and Gold.
New Orleans traded for the former second round draft pick, during week two of the 2025 season, but during the time of the transaction, the former Washington Husky was already on injured-reserved due to a season-ending shoulder injury.
Polk spoke during voluntary workouts about having an opportunity to finally play in Kellen Moore’s offense alongside Tyler Shough, but the receiver has chosen to hang up his cleats.
The Saints placed Polk in the reserve/retired list Sunday afternoon, after the team finished its first week of training camp.
Polk spent just three years in the NFL and was only on the field for one season.
During his time with the New England Patriots, Polk recorded 12 catches for 87 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 15 games.
