Tennessee (33-6, 9-6 SEC) defeated East Tennessee State, 12-0, in five innings on Tuesday at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.

Sage Mardjetko (8-1) started for the Lady Vols and pitched five innings. She recorded 13 strikeouts and 81 pitches, including 52 strikes, against 18 batters. Mardjetko allowed one hit and two walks.

Tennessee's offense totaled 12 hits, including home runs from Emma Clarke (2), Gabby Leach and Maddi Rutan.

The Lady Vols left four runners on base.

Tennessee will next play Kennesaw State at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium on Wednesday. The nonconference matchup is scheduled for 6 p.m. EDT and can be watched on SEC Network+.

Kentucky will host the Lady Vols for a three-game series beginning Saturday.

On Tuesday, the latest NFCA/GoRout Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll was released. Tennessee is ranked No. 9.
