Two Lady Vols earn 2026 All-American softball honors

Two Tennessee pitchers earned First-Team All-America honors from D1Softball. Karlyn Pickens and Sage Mardjetko were announced as All-American players.

Pickens. a senior for the Lady Vols, received national recognition from D1Softball for a fourth time. She was named to the outlet's All-Freshman Team in 2023 and has now received first-team honors for three consecutive seasons.

Mardjetko, a junior and South Carolina transfer, received First-Team All-America recognition from D1Softball for the first time in her career.

Entering the College World Series, Mardjetko has compiled a 14-2 record and a career-best 1.12 ERA. She has recorded a career-high 165 strikeouts in 119.0 innings. Mardjetko also pitched her first career no-hitter against Southern Illinois on Feb. 22.

She was named First-Team All-SEC and was honored as the league's Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Mardjetko also received Second-Team All-America honors from Softball America.

Pickens has recorded a 1.53 ERA and 189 strikeouts in 31 games. She has totaled 84 strikeouts against SEC competition. Pickens ranks fifth in the conference for ERA and sixth in strikeouts. She ranks second in hits allowed per seven innings (3.39).

Pickens is now a seven-time All-American, earning recognition from multiple outlets.
