gopher !!!!!!!!!!!!

Is that better, it was my dog capturing a frisbee. I postedd a new one with better contrast.

This is George as a puppy, all further references to gophers will be taken as a declaration of war :p

I'm rather attached to him

NIDAN - That play sequence was so cool.

The thing that caught my eye was the sight of Pace coming around the edge and closing on McCown.

Then suddenly #74 seems to use his arm to push Pace in the back away from McCown. But instead of turning to his left to re-close on McCown who was stepping up into the pocket, Pace continued upfield away from the QB.

Obviously, it's easy for us arm-chair guys to make sweeping comments - But that sequence said it all by showing both (a) Pace's potential and (b) what he still has to learn.

Your right about the persuit, but you have to remember if he touched the QB he would be doing laps around the field all day long.

It looks to me like he could of got him then he pulled up so the team could finish the play... Thats how we did it when I played...

You cant actully think he forgot to keep going after the QB? You learn that stuff before you get into highschool, not your first year in the NFL... ;)

It's hella hot out here, for those that are wondering. That WR must be wearing long sleeves because he's insane.

Thanks for the photos; really appreciate it...
How did I know the only attempt at a negative comment was from you?

Did you really just ASSume Pace was the guy on the sidelines? Or were you just hoping?

As soon as I looked at the pic's the first guy I saw was the DE breaking through, and wow it was Pace... I didnt even notice any guys on the sidelines...

Beerz, if you don't like my comments, don't read them. I looked over the chaos of the photo, and saw a guy standing on the sideline. I thought Pace was #69. I'm sorry if I was confused.

Get off my back. Go sic on Cheese for a while.

Aren't they typically forbidden to touch the QB in these sort of drills? In other words maybe Pace is doing exactly what he's supposed to by not coming back after Josh?

Oh, that would have been hilarious if Pace just jacked McCown. No pads and all.

I agree. It looks like McCown was dead meat and Pace simply let the play happen.

Sound's like something Tillman would have done. Anyone remember the coaches trying to calm him down his rookie year as he was pounding the offense?

You're right. Although it would have been "dumb" (not to say unfair to Josh) to cold **** McCown, it sure would have made a statement that would set the tone for the entire season, wouldn't it?

If you're not allowed to close on the QB in practice, when the freak do you get the chance to get in those reps in real-time? Calvin could have at least gently "tagged" McCown with a hand and said "You're 'it.'"
