This is no time for the organization to play hard-ball with a agent who is probably being a di@k like most agents when it comes to money, with the up-coming draft just around the corner. There are possible trades to be done and over 700 or more players to put in perspective for the Cardinals. They can't blow eigth picks over one guy. I like Robinson but not at the expense of our picks. We do not know the amount offered Robinson and if he really wants to play for us I'm sure he will get back to Graves after the smoke clears from the draft. And you can't simpley gameplan a draft really till draft day and it is still complicated, meaning you have to plan for all kinds of scenarios, not a easy task.

You are acting like the draft was announced last week. The front office has had months to do their due dilligence on the players in the draft.

I don't accept this line of reasoning that 8 picks will suffer so we can negotiate with Robinson's agent. It simply isn't a plausible excuse.

Cancel a round of golf this week, I will accept that. Cancel a negotiation that should have direct ramifications on who we need to draft and when, no way.

well yea the draft has been known about, but I do like the fact that they want ALL their attention focused on the draft...

Still they should of made him a nogotiable offer now and told him they would get back to him after the draft...

I agree. It is called Multi-Tasking. If they don't know what they are doing with the draft by now, save some trade talks, then the Cards are in serious trouble.

It isn't like they are picking 20th with alot more crazy stuff happening around them.

Multi tasking....LOL...such a cutesy, artsy fartsy, trendy way of saying...you can walk and chew gum at the same time. The concept wasn't invented anytime recently.

.....and Barney the Janitor is now the Sanitation engineer at the local school.

Now that I agree with totally!

We should be able to do more then one thing at once especially when signing a guy like Robinson could let us concentrat more on what we really need like DEFENSE!

Sorry Cubbie, but that wasn't directed at you personally, but it just cracks me up how that term gets tossed around these days, as if anyone over 30 had no clue of what it meant, or that it was some new concept previously unknown.

No offense taken but this is what we are down to. Too busy dealing with the draft (which they should be ready for by now) to do anything else...you know like sign a FA WR, into a position of need, who actually said he wants to play in AZ. Makes too much sense. One thing at a time.

People over 30 did this (I am over 30) but people under thrity had to come up with wording that sounds good on a resume and in interviews

On canceling a round of golf to sign Marcus Robinson, well, that depends, on where the tee time is set. There are some pretty bitchin' courses in Az, are there not?
