Bayern Munich right-back Konrad Laimer has already signed his contract extension, according to a report. Supervisory board member Uli Hoeneß announced it himself at an event, as captured by Sport1 journalist Stefan Kumberger. Via @iMiaSanMia:
During an event in Altötting where he was a guest, Uli Hoeneß has announced Konrad Laimer’s contract extension. “Konrad Laimer has signed”, Hoeneß said, without further elaboration [@StefanKumberger]
Well, so that is that. The honorary Bayern president has been in the headlines in relation to this deal all the way through, from his initial remarks on Laimer’s reported demands that caused irritation, to the subsequent make-up and follow-on report that Hoeneß’ intervention was critical to the resolution.
Now, it seems only fitting for Hoeneß to break the news of the long-expected signing himself.
