According to a report from Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich and Austria international Konrad Laimer have reached an agreement on a contract extension that will run through 2029.
An announcement is expected soon and Laimer will get a raise that push his total financial package up over €10 million per season:
Konrad Laimer contract extension – DONE DEAL
EXCL: 29 y/o right-back has agreed a new contract with Bayern until 2029.
Signing scheduled. Announcement soon. Despite high initial demands, both sides were always clear that they wanted to extend the contract. Salary of more than €10m gross/year including bonuses. @SkySportDE
This should end what amounts to a few months of talks that did not initially seem so promising. Now, Laimer resume his role at right-back in 2026/27, where he has excelled under head coach Vincent Kompany. A central midfielder by trade, Laimer has seemingly found a new home at right-back and in Bavaria as well.
