Only a handful of days are left until the 2026 NBA draft. Really sneak up on us, huh? Expect a ramp-up in news and rumors surrounding this year's class. Especially with the league finally in offseason mode. The Oklahoma City Thunder finished five wins short of going back-to-back and have some serious draft capital to spend.
For the Thunder, they continue to enjoy the best of both worlds — contend for a Larry O'Brien trophy and do their homework for a lottery addition. They will enter the 2026 NBA draft with three draft picks — No. 12 via the LA Clippers; No. 17 via the Philadelphia 76ers; and No. 37 via the Dallas Mavericks.
One prospect the Thunder will reportedly meet with in a predraft workout is Austin Peay's Collin Parker, per NBA draft expert JPR Scouting Col. He played in one collegiate season from 2025-26 with the Governors. He averaged 17.6 points on 47.7% shooting, 6.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 31 games this past season. He shot 40% from 3 on 4.5 attempts.
The 23-year-old is a 6-foot-8, 227-pound forward. Before going to Austin Peay, Parker played four years at the JUCO level. Most NBA mock drafts have him going undrafted. Which means the Thunder can likely add him on some sorta Summer League deal and go from there.
The 2026 NBA draft will take place from June 23-24. The Thunder will look to add more young talent to their roster to keep their contending window open as long as possible around Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams.
