now more than ever they have to change the run game to fit the guys they have and not Conner. Carter CAN run inside but he's not a pound between the tackles kind of guy like Conner was.

Carter is like a zone, 1 cut and run... right? He can do some things in space, as well.

Carter is a good runner IMO, he has good vision and he can cut on a dime but he's 200 pounds soaking wet he's not going to push the pile the way Conner did he likes to bounce it outside or yeah one cut and go. The Jets got rid of him because he surprisingly lacks top end speed, for a smaller RB he's quick but he's not particularly fast 4.5 at his pro day and he's slower now. Had some other issues but they drafted Breece Hall to replace him because they wanted more speed and they got it.

There was some online talk we might go after Hall because Conner got hurt but the Jets backup, Braelon Allen, sprained his MCL in their MNF so he's out indefinitely so seems unlikely the Jets will trade Hall now unless they just go fire sale. I'm not a huge fan of his but he's better than what we have now with Benson out.

It’s funny, but it’s exactly what we should do. God knows that MHJ needs development, so target him 20 times & speed up his development. Wouldn’t hurt to let Murray throw it all day either. God knows he needs a 300+ yard passing day. Running the ball for 2 yards a carry will only keep the Titans in the game.

Please no. Would rather open up the playbook and let the pass setup the run game instead of run game running into a brick wall.

I liked him out of college but he's had issues since then. Apparently the Lions had some problems with him attitude wise.

HOpefully he's got past that but he's on the PS right now

The one thing is of all the RB's we now have the only one who remotely fits the way we used Conner, is Jefferson. he's very much a north south runner.

I kind of expect us to throw the ball 40 times on Sunday with 2 or 3 WR on almost every play and use DeMercado and Carter as change of pace or out of the backfield threats
