The one thing is of all the RB's we now have the only one who remotely fits the way we used Conner, is Jefferson. he's very much a north south runner.

I kind of expect us to throw the ball 40 times on Sunday with 2 or 3 WR on almost every play and use DeMercado and Carter as change of pace or out of the backfield threats
We can only hope! Probably the best chance we have of winning games this year.

Titans have a bad run defense but down 2 RB's seems unlikely we'll be able to run as well as Houston did. Could be, Carter is a good runner but seems unlikely he can handle that sort of carries right away. Houston ran the ball 30 times with their RB's I doubt we will do that with Carter and DeMercado.

Statistically they're bad both against the run and pass and their offense has been bad.

We should still be able to win easily without a #1 RB this week but Colts, Packers, Cowboys, Seahawks and 49ers are the next 5 and Benson at a minimum misses those 5.

Will be interesting, I've always liked both DeMercado and Carter but neither guy moves the pile no idea what our short yardage plan is, I guess Bam Knight?

Even though Chubb is almost washed, he could definitely help us. And the Texans look sold on Marks as their RB1. If Marks has another big day this weekend, Monti should look into Chubb as an option!
HELL NO. This team is already a MASH unit. You want to add another guy who’s never recovered from his serious injury and is already washed up and probably give up draft capital to do so (not that draft capital really matters in Monti’s hands, but still…)

I thought that was pretty likely he just has played more as a starter than DeMercado. Emari started 2 games as a rookie, even had 20 carries in one of them but he's primarily been a 3rd down guy.

He may end up with more snaps than Carter anyways I am assuming we're going to throw the ball

elevate Knight...give the boys 10 carries each...30 rushes from the RB position keeps the defense honest and each of them have enough talent so that their touches are not wasted snaps.

I agree. I did rewatch the entire Houston game last week & TN was in that game right up until the start of the 4th quarter. It was 6-0 & the TN kicker had missed 2 easy fg’s. Eventually, the TN D was on the field too long & fell apart. I could see Simmons dominating the interior of our OL & making it difficult for us to run. Houston struggled running until Marks took control of the game & he’s significantly better than anything RB we have right now. We just have to make sure that Simmons doesn’t disrupt everything we do. He’s that dominant.

Maybe we can trade one of our glass figurines straight up for Chubb lol. God knows we have a few of them ourselves. I understand Chubb is near the end, but he thrived in the exact offense we currently use. Houston’s OL is worse than ours & he’s averaging 4 yards per carry & not even Conner was doing that.

Specifically, the part where he says 'the Kansas City Chiefs cut Stowers before they came to camp' but 'looked like a star of the day for the Saints'.

Gotta love old Mora clips :)
Boy do I miss the transparency of those days! Today’s coaches have 100% useless press conferences.

The primary run issue this year has been first down. We're about a yard less on first down than last year but the last 2 games it's been like 2 yards less.
