This was a defensive shootout...55 points scored but less than 400 yards combined. :p

And the Yankees win again to go on to face the RedSox in the AL Championship Series.

If you are not a fan of Pittsburgh, New England or Indianapolis your chances of seeing your AFC team in the SB are slim and none.

The AFC is full of boring cry babies. I hate em all.

Flacco proved again tonight that you can't get anywhere with a mediocre, game managing qb. Gotta have an elite passer to make it deep in the playoffs these days.

Everybody knows the joke of what happens when you tie a peanutbuttered slice of bread on the back of a cat and drop them from a high building, on which side would it land?

Following that logic, if the Patriots win tomorrow, who's gonna get the calls in the AFC championship game?

boy did Baltimore choke. Those defense calls at the end were pathetic. Play the prevent and lose.

I've been watching football for a long time & I still can't recall a time when the Stealers got a bad call late in a big game. Like.................NEVER! Every penalty in the last 7 minutes of that game was against the Ravens, one cost them a TD. What do I care, I hate both teams.

Flacco probably would have gotten us to the playoffs though.

This will be the 9th time in the last 10 years that either Pittsburgh, Indianapolis or New England will have represented the AFC in the SB.

Meanwhile, the NFC has had 9 different teams in the SB over the last 9 years.

So if the winner of tonight's game makes it there will be 10 straight years with different teams repping the NFC.

Kinda hard to blame Flacco when 1) he's playing the best D in the league and 2) 2 of the most important passes were flat out dropped (Q whiffing on the TD pass, Hoshmanzaddeh on the final 4th down)

nice catch Q!

Hall Of Famer my ass.

I never know what I think about Q anymore. I still have his jersey in my closet and wear it sometimes. This game and especially his key drop, I can't help but think, maybe he now has some perspective and wouldn't storm out of the stadium before the Conference Championship celebration. You can be on a good playoff caliber team and still never get a conference championship or go to a Superbowl. Balto pretty much holds that status quo every year. Good but not good enough.

Or maybe not, maybe it would still just be about Q, screw everyone else.

Boldin's career can be summed up in one game. Carolina 2005. Q had 10 catches for 162 yards and ran over half the Panthers defense on his way to the endzone on his one TD. With Josh McCown at QB.

The next week he was 0 for 0 against the Titans.

That being said I'd take him back right now.

huh? flacco threw a perfect touchdown to Boldin to give them the lead and he dropped it and then threw a perfect strike on 4th a mile to tj who dropped it. not his fault the "vaunted" Baltimore D was a sieve today.

On the whole BAL's offense was garbage, Flacco included, which didn't help a veteran defense who made great impact, but can't play the full 60min anymore.
Yeah, there were 3 notable occasions when Flacco's guys boned him, but Footsteps didn't help himself out today with a number of float-y passes and poor decisions.

Love Boldin but he is done for. I'm so glad we got Washington and Rhodes out of the trade.
