The 21st annual Ralph Phillips Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled for June 18 at Oak Tree Golf Club in Ontario.
Phillips Tube Group Inc. and the Phillips Family Foundation are hosting the event to honor the late company founder Ralph Phillips. The tournament aims to raise funds for organizations that support North Central Ohio youth, according to a community announcement.
The outing is in a new location this year due to renovations at the Shelby Crossing Golf and Event Center.
Registration and lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Golfers of all skill levels are invited to participate in the 18-hole tournament.
Participants can compete in contests such as closest to the pin, beat the pro and skins contests, with prizes awarded to winners. In addition to lunch and dinner, there will be an awards ceremony to recognize top performers and contest winners.
The event will also feature a 50/50 raffle, door prizes and other items.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit local youth organizations, including Scouting America Buckeye Council, Girl Scouts of Ohio's Heartland and Junior Achievement, according to the announcement.
Golfers can register as a foursome for $500 or as an individual for $150. Sponsorship opportunities are available, offering businesses and individuals the chance to support the cause while gaining exposure. The deadline to sponsor the event is June 2.
