The Las Vegas Raiders defense has a favorable matchup against the Tennessee Titans this weekend. The Titans, who are contenders to earn the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft, are struggling with rookie quarterback Cam Ward under center. With that said, we've identified some potential X-factors for the Raiders on defense in a plus Week 6 matchup versus Brian Callahan's disappointing offense.
Eric Stokes has been the Raiders' best cornerback this season. The Titans' passing game has struggled, but wideouts Calvin Ridley and Elic Ayomanor have made the occasional big play for Ward. Stokes will be tasked with covering multiple receivers on the boundary.
The Titans haven't adequately protected Ward this season. They're expected to get right tackle JC Latham back for this matchup, who had missed multiple games in a row. Raiders superstar EDGE Maxx Crosby will test Latham's readiness, and he'll take turns with left tackle Dan Moore, too.
Veteran safety-turned-linebacker Jamal Adams had an uninspiring tenure with the Titans in 2024 before requesting his release. Adams will be motivated to play against his former team, who under-utilized his skill set. He'll attempt to make plays on Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears in the backfield.
