Often times the draft's first round picks are at the last ones to be officially signed. Not Ashton Jeanty. As of this writing, the sixth overall pick becomes the highest draft pick to have signed their rookie contract, and one of only a few first round picks to have signed so far.

Jeanty was the Raiders top pick at six overall out of Boise State.

Ashton Jeanty Raiders contract details

Jeanty signs a fully guaranteed four-year deal worth $35.9 million with a $22.75 million signing bonus. The deal carries a fifth round option which the team will decide whether or not to exercise following the 2027 season.

His 2025 salary cap amount will be just over $6.5 million.

As a junior in 2024, Jeanty ran for an astounding 2601 yards which came with an eyelash of breaking Barry Sanders' all-time single-season FBS rushing record. In so doing, he set an FBS record with 14 games of 100-plus rushing yards, while his 29 rushing touchdowns were the second-most in the NCAA and tied for seventh in FBS history.
