Terrance Ferguson will be playing in the same city as former Duck quarterback Justin Herbert, but with the other team.

The Los Angeles Rams selected the former Oregon tight end in the second round with the No. 46 overall pick of the 2025 NFL draft. Ferguson will receive a four-year contract projected to be worth $9,713,462 with a nice signing bonus of $3,704,336.

Ferguson should fit in nicely with the Rams' offensive scheme and quarterback Matthew Stafford. They might be retooling some things with Cooper Kupp going to Seattle, which means Los Angeles could be going to the tight end a little more often than before and getting a possession-type tight end such as Ferguson should be beneficial.

The former No. 1 recruit out of Colorado, Ferguson left Oregon as the program’s all-time leader among tight ends in receptions (134) and receiving touchdowns (16) while ranking second all-time in receiving yards (1,537).

In his senior season, Ferguson was named to the All-Big Ten third team by the media and on the John Mackey Award watch list for the nation's tight end.

In his senior season, Ferguson played in 12 of Oregon’s 14 games, making 11 starts at tight end. Unfortunately, he missed two games due to illness or his numbers would have been even more impressive. He also tied the Duck single-season record for receptions by a tight end with 43 while finishing second in single-season history with 591 receiving yards.

As a junior, Ferguson was on the coaches' Pac-12 All-Conference first team in 2023 and as a sophomore, he was on the coaches' Pac-12 All-Conference honorable mention list.
