Man… Gilroy knows how to stick the landings on these mini 3 season episode enders.

I have felt the same. It drags first 2, but the last one picks up. I would love to see a bit more consistency through 3.

I didn’t think the first two of the second batch were as slow as the first batch this season, but it definitely leveled up again in 6.

I slept through the first three the other night. season is looking pretty solid so far.
The tie fighter scenes were hilarious...you would think a guy would know how to fly one before he set out to steal it.

Will have to watch them tonight. My daughter had her graduate Animation short film showcase last night at the Sydney Poitier New American Film school. By the time we got home last night the only thing I was doing was crashing.

Most of these three were pretty good. The season? A mixed bag. It's both way too hurried (time jumps anyone? setups without resolutions? lack of development in areas?) and way too slow (wedding anyone?). Still, good content.

This was the best batch of 3 by far for me. I really thought the pacing was good and the plot actually went somewhere. My problem with the first two batches of three were that most of those episodes played like a procedural then there was one episode that really advanced the plot. Just really thought these last 3 episodes were really solid.

Agreed wholeheartedly. OTOH, if we don't get a major payoff for all that protracted wedding nonsense, that'll be a major ding on the show.

What kind of payoff are you expecting? The whole wedding sequence was part of Mothma starting to really understand the sacrifices she was going to have to make if she truly wanted to be part of changing the tide. Sacrifices like her daughter, her childhood friend who she all but signed a death warrant for after talking to Luthen… and that it was all going to destroy her life for the greater good.

The last batch of episodes was interesting. At first I kept thinking this isn’t really building to a big finish, but halfway through episode 2, it’s when the obvious realization hit me… oh, yeah… ROGUE ONE is the big finish stupid.

Really good series and season, and I’m going to jump into Rogue One tonight (feel like I have to get to the end of Andor’s story at this point). That said, Season 1 was slightly better and reached higher heights than this season.

Yes, I understand that. It wasn't just a sequence though, was it?

Anyway, good but not great season, for reasons I've already outlined. Too rushed in parts, too slow in parts. Probably two or three seasons smashed into one, for whatever reason. Some great, even epic, content. The latter half was definitely orders of magnitude better than the first. Like Cheese, I will be giving Rogue One (2nd best of the Star Wars fare) another watch.

The last 6 episodes were pretty damn great. I was really really worried after the first 6 episodes and feeling like multiple episodes didn't really move things along. Like Season 1 I thought it was a mixed bag of pacing and they could have taken out 2 to 3 episodes of each season and I feel like I would have missed nothing.

I heard the show would lead into the events of Rogue One but that last twist at the end did make me feel less bad about the sacrifice Jyn and Cassian made at the end of Rogue One as well. At the same time it hits a bit harder because of Bix and what he leaves behind.

Overall though? Andor really adds to the legacy IMO of Rogue One and its' place in the Star Wars universe IMO.
