With training camp wrapping up soon, it's time to look forward to some real games.

The Suns open preseason play at the Pistons in Detroit on Sunday.

It's a reunion of sorts with former Suns coach Monty Williams and a fresh beginning for Phoenix under head coach, Frank Vogel.

When: Sunday, Oct. 8, 2022

Television: Suns Live, NBA TV, AZ Family

3TV / AZ Family Sports Network 44

Radio: ESPN 620 / S: KSUN

Time: 12 pm Arizona time

It's kind of ironic that two former number 2 overall picks, James Wiseman and Marvin Bagley III, will be battling for the backup center position.

Devin Booker and Kevin Durant will play some against the Pistons but"not much" per Frank Vogel.

It sounds like the Suns plan to play everyone.

With about a dozen (or more) viable guys on the roster, might as well play everyone and see what you got.

No injuries...

That is about the extent of what I want to see out of the preseason.

Take it nice n easy out there fellas, it is a long season, plenty of time to work out the kinks.

Here is the Suns injury report. Jordan Goodwin and Ish Wainright are out. Damion Lee has a right knee meniscus injury.

I'll be interested to see if Monty finds a way to get Shamet in the line-up despite being not being on the team.
I think Monty has lined up some other potential son-in-laws these days.

Can't wait for some Suns basketball!

I don't expect to see the big 3 together outside of the start of the game. Probably see them staggered after that. I'm more curious to see our bench.

Detroit has some size and good young players so this won't be an easy game. I think Monty wants a W as well.

Whatever happens, everyone leaving the game in better shape than today is key.

It never fails. Plan to do a lot of channel surfing during breaks.
Better to just record one, and watch it after. You get the bonus of commercial skipping as well. That's what I am doing

As a reminder, the Suns @ Pistons game starts at noon on AZ Family and 3TV.

The Bengals vs Cardinals game starts at 1:05 pm on Fox.

Not sure that would happen anyway, isn't today the wedding to for Shamet to marry Monty's daughter?

I never enjoy watching recorded games as much as I do watching the games live.

Then, if my team loses, I probably will not watch it at all.
That's why you don't look at scores. I have no idea who wins when watching a recorded game. Of course that's going to spoil it if you already know the outcome. For me, it's no different than watching it live other than the fact I can skip commercials.

I took out the rabbit ears today from the garage and picked up 32-1 up north. I think I’m good and don’t need any other equipment.

Can anyone confirm that BTO is showing?

Just so ironic with all the streaming options and interwebs, we are reverting back to old tech.

For me, if something is already over, I want to know the results. I don't want to be cheering for a lost cause.
