Don't hold your breath. I think he'll spend most of the year in the G-League. Maybe he gets brought up after the deadline for an extended stretch if Grayson is traded but I will be surprised if he's more than a 12th man through March, barring a major injury of course.
Im hoping all of the rookies come out guns blazing, cause that's all I have left is hope.

I think the others will. I'm not sold on Brea.

Just depends on how training camp and pre-season goes imo. Solidified are Book, Green, Brooks, Allen, Dunn, Oneale. All he has to do is be a better shooter than Goodwin, Butler, Davis, Gillespie and Livers. Shooters aren't the only thing we need as we need scorers, and Brea has some midrange game to him and a bit of some hops too.

Perhaps but he will be playing against much better competition. There's at least 4 guys ahead of him in the rotation right now. Time will tell.

If a guy can shoot, he can always come off the bench for some instant offense. If he handles his nerves, he can shoot. We saw it in Summer League.

Summer League competition is awful. He'll need to prove he can shoot in NBA games. He's a shooter and not a scorer so he'll need set up also. That will make it harder to be effective.

In football, the good teams always draft replacements for their starters. If this kid can mirror Booker, we have Book's replacement on the team someday.

As James Jones used to say, a roster should be 5 by 3, although I'm not sure those needs were adequately addressed the past few seasons.

In today's NBA though, it doesn't necessarily refer to the traditional five positions. Those needs, however, still need to be addressed regardless of the position title.

Second-year shooting guard Koby Brea agreed to re-sign with the Phoenix Suns on a two-way contract, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Monday.

The 41st pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, Brea appeared sparingly as a rookie behind a versatile guard group that included Devin Booker, Jalen Green, Grayson Allen, Collin Gillespie, Jordan Goodwin and Royce O’Neale.

Brea played in 12 games and showed off his shooting capabilities, knocking down 12 of 30 attempts (43%) from 3-point range.

Brea joins former Golden State Warriors guard Pat Spencer on a two-way contract with a third spot left to fill.

I thought Huntley will fill the third spot.
