The second pool of the 2026 Calgary Stampede has officially begun, and with it comes three more exhilarating rounds of top-notch rodeo action.
Roedy Farrell topped the Performance 4 ******** riding leaderboard with an 87.50-point ride worth $7,000. Finishing just behind him was 2022 World Champion Jess Pope, who recorded an 87, followed by Tanner Aus rounding out the top three with an 86.50.
No. 24-ranked Coleman Shallbetter took the saddle bronc riding win with 87.50 points. His $7,000 payday will help him move up in the standings as he looks to secure his first NFR qualification. Ben Anderson and Brody Wells tied for second with a pair of 86-point rides, while Sage Newman finished fourth with an 85.50.
Resistol Rookie Bull Rider Noah Lee continued his hot streak with the performance-winning score of 90.50. Lee currently sits second in the world standings and has won some of the most prestigious Cowboy Christmas rodeos, including St. Paul, Livingston, and the Cody Stampede. Tristen Hutchings secured the second place spot with an 87.50 as he looks to maintain his top spot in the world standings. Ernie Courson placed third and NFR veteran Boudreaux Campbell placed fourth, finishing out the only qualified rides of the performance.
Tie-down roping saw Brushton Minton shoot to the top of the leaderboard with a blazing 7.1-second run, besting second-place Hunter Herrin by over half a second. Bo Pickett turned in an 8.4-second run for third, and reigning world champion Riley Webb recorded an 8.8 for fourth. There was a tie at the top of the steer wrestling leaderboard, with both Ty Erickson and Dalton Massey laying down a pair of 4.0-second runs. Close behind was Louisiana’s Gavin Soileau’s 4.1.
Cheyanne McCartney started Pool B breakaway roping off strong with a 3.1-second run. Caitlyn Dahm placed second with a 3.6, while Josie Conner claimed third with a 3.9. Barrel racing saw four sub-17 runs, with a mere two-hundredths separating first place from third place. Carlee Otero’s 16.92 topped the leaderboard, followed by Hayle Gibson-Stillwell’s 16.93 and Katelyn Scott’s 16.94. Barrel racing was one of the tightest races in Pool A, and Pool B is proving to be just as competitive.
