The summer rodeo run continues to showcase some of the sport’s biggest stars, and at the 2026 Silver State Stampede, no competitor shined brighter than ******** rider Cooper Cooke. Riding a wave of momentum through June, Cooke captured the ******** riding title with an 89-point ride aboard Frontier Rodeo’s Lonesome Medicin. The victory added $5,675 to his season earnings and pushed his June winnings to nearly $40,000, helping him climb into the Top 5 of the world standings.

Cooke’s performance topped a highly competitive ******** riding field. Cole Franks finished second with 88 points, followed by Cole Reiner at 87. Lane McGehee and Keenan Hayes rounded out the top five in an event packed with talent with 86.5 and 86-point rides, respectively.

It was a record-breaking round in steer wrestling, with Garrett Oates laying down a smoking 3.4-second run, setting a new arena record in the process. Rowdy Parrott claimed second with a 3.9-second run, while Traver Johnson and Grant Peterson split third place with a pair of 4.0-second times.

Fresh off their win at the Snake River Stampede, Lightning Aguilera and Kaden Profili kept their momentum rolling with a winning time of 4.3 seconds. The duo sits seventh and eleventh in the world standings, respectively, and topped a field that featured numerous world champions and NFR qualifiers.

Saddle bronc rider Kade Bruno continued his own impressive June run. His 89.5-point ride on Frontier Rodeo's Mighty Girl secured the championship and added another $5,443 to his earnings – totaling his June earnings to nearly $30,000 thus far.

No. 6-ranked tie-down roper John Douch rose to the top of the Silver State Stampede standings after turning in a 7.2-second run to earn $5,534. Trevor Hale was close behind in second at 7.3 seconds, while 2013 World Champion Shane Hanchey secured third with a 7.8-second run.

Tayla Moeykens outran a stacked barrel racing field to claim the title with a 15.68-second run worth $6,601. Michelle Alley and Raelin Jurgens turned in times of 15.77 and 15.79 seconds, respectively, to finish second and third, while veteran Lisa Lockhart finished fourth with a 15.82.

It was a lightning-fast breakaway roping field, but Suzanne Williams came out on top with a 1.8-second run worth $6,331. Cadee Williams finished second with a 1.9 and Danielle Lowman followed with a 2.0-second run. In breakaway, every fraction of a second matters and this weekend showed how true that statement is – all 15 money-winning runs fell between 1.8 and 2.5 seconds.

Bull riding closed out the Silver State Stampede with Colten Fritzlan taking top honors with 88.5 points on Double J Rodeo Company's Thunderstorm. Eyer Morrison finished just behind at 88 points, while Tristan Mize claimed third with 87. Resistol Rookie Bull Riding Leader Noah Lee, who also sits third in the world standings, finished fourth with an 86.

With July approaching and more major rodeos on the horizon, the race for a gold buckle is getting more competitive by the day.
