Yohendrick Pinango may not have been a name familiar to Toronto Blue Jays fans upon his promotion to the MLB level earlier this season.
So far, though, he's endeared himself to Jays fans.
Pinango is 10 for his first 26, a .400 batting average, while only striking out three times in that span.
Most importantly, the contact isn't cheap. He's hitting the ball hard.

This is something that the above poster, Aram Leighton of Just Baseball, saw coming.
He touted Pinango's traits in the offseason as a guy who had put up a 50% hard-hit rate in the 2025 minor league campaign.
The Triple-A Buffalo Bison certainly had gotten an up-close look at what Pinango can do:
Some guys take longer to develop at the plate than others.
Since Pinango was never a super high-ranking prospect, he has had to prove himself over and over.
But as long as he keeps hitting, he'll keep playing.
