Pensacola native and Seattle Seahawks cornerback Devon Witherspoon is about to get paid in a big way.

The 2019 Pine Forest alum and the Seahawks have reportedly agreed to a four-year, $132 million contract extension with over $101 million in guaranteed money that would make Witherspoon the highest-paid cornerback in league history, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The contract won't kick in until the 2028 season, as Witherspoon will make $5.1 million in 2026 as part of his NFL rookie contract and $21.16 million in 2027 after the Seahawks picked up his fifth-year option.

Witherspoon was named second team all-Pro in 2025 despite missing five games with an injury. He recorded 72 tackles, an interception, a fumble recovery, half a sack, seven pass deflections and four quarterback hits.

Witherspoon stepped up in the postseason too, playing a key role in the Seahawks run to Super Bowl 60. He two big pass break ups in the fourth quarter in the NFC Championship win over the Rams; then totaled four tackles, a sack and a forced fumble against the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. The forced fumble was recovered by Uchenna Nwosu for a 44-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, all but sealing the franchise's second Super Bowl title.
