Frankly I only like 2 players here
Anthony Hill LB Tx
Emmanuel Pregnon, G, OR (Niners might grab him)
Yep definitely probably the 2 I would target as well.

As a Horns fans Hill played well for them for 3 years & their best defender! But will they unless they go to a 4-3 given Wilson & Simon are 2 pretty good players although Wilson might be better at weak side.

Pregnon could be an absolute monster in Lafleurs offense.

We still need edge rusher opposite of Sweat, we basically got nada other than him, TJ Parker could be an option too

I’ve seen CJ Allen play a couple times in big SEC games. Dude is a force on the field with excellent tackling techniques that you can’t teach at the nfl level because of regulations. At round 2, I know it’s a non premium position but I think it is a major upgrade to our weakest position on the defense - ILB

Pregnon, Bisontis, Hill all fit needs.

But I'm not against taking CB again. If Jermod McCoy is there just draft good players. I could say the same for Terrell, Ponds or Hood.

Melton hasn't proved anything and Williams has injury issues. Everyone else on the roster at CB is depth. Emmanuel McNeil-Warren is also a good player. I haven't watched much Kayden McDonald so I can't judge.

But I'd be fine with Nussmeier here too. I think he's undervalued in mocks (as it turned out Simpson was).

In fact the more I think about it, just draft Nussmeier.

But I think there's a good chance they trade down here for a team that wants one of the CBs and they can probably still get the guy they want. The Giants, Raiders, Bengals, Jets etc all need CB. Maybe Ravens.

The pick that would make me :bang: would be Carson Beck. I really don't like him as a player or from what I have seen of him off the field in interviews.

I watch on average about 1 College Game a year, so don't have a clue about prospects other than what I read / watch in the draft reviews.

A question for anyone on this forum (even those who weren't happy with the Love pick), In your opinion what do the Cards need to do on Day 2, to make you feel more positive about this draft, what do they need to come away with?

I'd like a Tackle / Guard on the Right Side, not expecting a superstar, but would be happy with someone with the potential to feature this season.

I'd also like DE / DT who can pressure the QB, concerned that Nolan might not be fit and I've giving up on Robinson

I personally don't know enough about the QB's

I kind of think that we should trade down a bit to pick up an extra 4th round pick or perhaps a 3rd round pick and take the best remaining edge who fits Rallis' scheme.

Certainly will tell us their opinion of Simon. I think Hill would be a significant upgrade. Simon becomes depth. They love Wilson. Again Hill choice reflects few impact players in this draft.

I don’t see Nussmeier ever becoming a starter. McCoy lost a year of development and coming back off ACL is iffy. 15% chance of another ACL. The Cards have struggled with returning injured CBs.
