Fans of the Boston Celtics have been taking the trade of Jaylen Brown to Boston division rivals the Philadelphia 76ers for an aging Paul George and a pair of first and second-round draft picks has gone over like a lead balloon. And understandably so given the Georgia native had a career season with the Celtics in 2025-26 while his costar on the wing Jayson Tatum spent most of the season recovering from an Achilles tendon injury.

But it is not just fans of the storied ball club irked with the return and the rushed negotiations that preceded it. Hall of Fame alumni, even, are chiming in to let it be known they are not a fan of the decision, with Robert Parish being especially critical.

Now, we can add another Boston Hall of Famer to the chorus, with Paul Pierce weighing in on the Brown trade as well on an episode of the "No Fouls Given" podcast.

"So it was like, all right. So I came to acceptance of it that was going to happen although I don't like it."
