How should we react to the Boston Celtics trading Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers for Paul George, a pair of first round draft picks, and a pair of second round draft picks? Many fans of the team crashed out in a major way while a small contingent welcomed the move for a variety of motives.

The haul Celtics President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens got from the trade to a division rival who most recently ejected Boston from title contention in the 2026 NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs is by most analyst accounts substandard if not entirely without merit, and that is only taking into account what the Georgia native does on the court with the Celtics.

The host of "Havlicek Stole the Pod" linked up with "Third Apron" founder Yossi Gozlan to talk through the reasons why the trade might go down, only to see it happen as soon as we ended the call. So we hopped right back on to talk through our feelings about the move. We know this might sting too much for you right now, but it's also – we hope – cathartic, so tune in if you are able.
