Expect nothing..... and you won't be surprised when barely anything happens.

I need to start reading up on prospects for cards at 16th pick

Are there any could be valuable lber or corner that could be at 16 if cards stay put

mjb, many threads and posts on the Board to answer your question. But, there doesn't seem a definitive answer to your questions. But if you read them you'll have a pretty good understanding of what the Cards will or won't do at #16. JMO.

Being that we are starting off with only 5 picks, and this draft class has funky circumstances....I would be fine coming out of the draft with 2 players, but they have to be signigicant contributors next year.

Trade away. Move up as much as possible without giving away next years picks.

For the corners there are 3 that are in play with the first round pick.

Jaycee Horn - most likely will be picked before Cards, but possible he is still there.

Caleb Farley - Likely the most talented CB available, but is coming off back surgery and has an injury prone label - was originally projected top 10 pick, now projected to be available at 16

Newsome - Will be available, and would probably be a reach at 16.

Peter King floats in his Football Morning in America column the notion that the 49ers could make Jimmy Garoppolomore available than he’s been.” King suggests that the 49ers could lower their expectations of a first-round pick for Garoppolo to a round-two selection. That would essentially become a reimbursement for the second-round pick the 49ers gave up during the 2017 season to get Garoppolo.

I keep seeing the Niners don't know who they are taking at #3. I really find that hard to believe.

Do you trade away all those 1st round picks in the the hope you might like one of the guys who are available at #3? You only trade up when you know who you want surely.

You don't trade up then decide. What if you don;t like any of the options?
