The Carolina Panthers appear to be on the wrong side of the NFL training camp injury trend.
First, it was edge Nic Scourton (knee), who was lost for the season last Thursday during the camp's opening practice.
On Tuesday, tight end Mitchell Evans (ankle) went down and was carted off the practice fields behind Bank of America Stadium.
The Panthers' MASH unit remained busy Wednesday when rookie wide receiver Chris Brazzell II suffered an apparent left knee injury while running a 7-on-7 drill route.
The third-round draft pick did make contact with a defensive back on the play. Running back Chuba Hubbard helped him off the field.
"So, just something happened," Panthers coach Dave Canales said after practice. "He feld weird on it, sat down. We took him in (to the medical room). We'll get full evaluation and get a picture of that."

Brazzell displayed his speed and athleticism during offseason training activities (OTAs). The former Tennessee standout was held out of practices Sunday and Tuesday with "a little knee soreness," Canales said.
His injury could ease some pressure on inconsistent 2024 first-round draft pick Xavier Legette, who was mentioned as a possible trade or cut candidate.
"It was just something that kind of started to get sore after the first couple of days, and then we just, he mentioned it to us," Canales said. "We started to look at it and we put him through some good recovery stuff and de-loaded him for a couple of days, got him back out there and he couldn't finish the day."
Four other potential starters, defensive tackles Bobby Brown III (hamstring) and Tershawn Wharton (neck), left tackle Ikem Ekwonu (knee) and right tackle Taylor Moton (blood clots), remain sidelined.
