You guys can make fun all ya want.....but when was the last time a Card had 2 sacks in a game?.....and don't say it was a Card baseball player eating lunch on the bench.

First sack was special, it happened right in front of me.

Pace is knocked down, gets up and hustles his ass off to get the guy by his ankles just before he throws the ball. He doesn't quite have Simeon's burst, but he's the best I've seen since then, easily.

His 2nd was good too. Man, he's quick, he seemed to be locked up by an OL, then POW, down goes the QB.

Heard his interview on post game show. The guy sounds intelligent and smart.

I know it's just preseason but we might just have us a defense this year. I watched Pace in some games last year and the one thing he will do for us is not give up. I still think he will get us about 8 sacks this year.

Joking aside, I'm glad Pace did well. I hope they mover KVB over to the left side this week and let pace start on the right.

Was it just me or did Pace seem to be the DL player to be in the backfield? What happened to the rest of the guys? Most of our pressure came from blitzes and Pace. I sure hope this improves some before season starts. But it was refreshing to finally see a QB running for his life against our D.

On a side note, I think the tuna will have a long painful season this year. I can't wait!

Pace was in the back field alot and had two sacks highly encouraging!

Just seems to continue what many of us saw in camp the last few days!

But another I saw applying pressure was Bell. He had a nice game too!

I can only go by today's write ups and not eye-witness. But they said that, in the starting base offensive unit - KVB did play on the left side, Wakefield on the right side and Pace at RDE in passing/nickel situations.

The one thing we noticed was the push up the middle and not giveing the QB anyplace to step up. It really helped the ends get pressure. Bell and Bryant did a great job.

I only heard it on the radio but i was overly impressed at how the DL played...The name i heard quite often was Marcus Bel's sounds like he had a great game....Any observations on how the 2-3 string db's played i heard Coby's named called a few times:D

While it is only the first pre-season game - I am pretty psyched to hear about Pace's play - I was as down on the Cards as anyone and probably more so with this pick - but I will happily eat crow if this kid ends up being a player - people may say it's only pre-season - but I look at it this way - our guys couldn't even get it done in preseason the last couple years - so already Pace is an upgrade - I know I said I can't wait for pre-season to start - but I'm greedy - I want the regular season hre already!

You and I both want the season to start.

I never stay for the whole game during pre-season, especially when it's over 100 degrees at game time, but I stayed for this one. I am really encouraged by what I saw and even though is was so damn hot, I couldn't leave (my wife didn't want to leave either--there's something about this team that gets you excited, even when the second team is in there----intensity??).

The first team offense spittered and sputtered, but they still moved the ball. I don't recall one 3 and out the whole time the first offense was in there. Their first drive lasted almost 5 game minutes. That never happened last year.

I do believe when Blake and the WR's get their timing down, this offense is gonna be awesome.

I think the most impressive play by Pace was one he didnt even get a sack or tackle on. It was against, I believe Javiar Collins. He went inside got plugged up stepped back out side and had no where to go. He took on Collins (6'6 325) head on and drove him back into the QB.

No he didint get a sack nor did he disrupt the play, but he just proved that although he is only about 265 he can get physical and knows how to play with Leverage.

I said this many times before after the draft, but I will say it again: Whether you feel he was taken to early or not, Pace is a player and will contribute to this team. He is solid and I have followed his career for a couple of years now.

Doe she have stuff to learn? of course, but with the right coaching he will get even better!

I also hear he's Anquan Boldin.

Kenny King made ESPN.....I think he and Bryant and KVB and Pace can give OL's some fits.
