If anyone needs a ride to the game, PM me and I'll give you my phone number. I'm coming in from the East, but will be near the stadium probably around 9 or 10 am

Does this count as "out of towners?" There are approximatley 1,000 of us Patriot fans sitting in sections 34 and 35. We are from a lot of different states, Canada, England and Arizona, too. This group of tickets was purchased through the New England Patriots Fan Club Of Arizona. (960 tickets were sold, then a second batch added.)

Plus, there are thousands others spread in different sections throughout the stadium.

So, I guess that qualifies as "out of towners."

No, that qualifies you to be New England Lobsters.

About 4 pm ya'll are gonna be funnier lookin' than a Red Sox first baseman tryin' to field a ground ball in the World Series.

Oh, Uncle Buck?

Now, the guy from the Cardinals ticket office that sold us these tickets, well he told us that they were the best seats in the house, in the shade and down at that end of the stadium they run the air conditioners all the time and the nice breeze just blows through keeping it nice and cool and that we would be very comfortable in our cushioned seats and that the ushers usually bring visitors all the cold water and other stuff that we need to be comfortable.

He even said that the ushers are so hospitable that if it got a little warm, they would be more than happy to fan us.....but usually the nice air conditioning units keep temps pretty tolerable.

You people are so, so nice. Not to worry though, if you ever visit Foxboro in December, some year, we will make sure to put you all in a nice warm section of Gillette Stadium keep you nice and cozy with foot warmers and hot water bottles for your butts so they won't freeze to the seats...and, of course, our ushers will be glad to bring you somde nice new england WARM spiced apple cider and hot chocolate.....maybe spiked with a litt Captain Morgans just to keep you nice and warm....

See, New Englanders are nice people, too.

Yea where were all you band wagon fans 5 years ago.... when you were 5-11 probably all Rams fans then. Most front runners alway follow the winners of the super bowl...

Okay now, let's not fight. There'll be plenty of time for that on Sunday. :)

Hey Belichick, my bro (Pats fan), sis and I were out to the Pats open camp/practice in August. The organization put on quite a show. We were impressed. Good times.

Funny story. Last time I was at SDS the Cards played the Pats. We got beat hard and on the way out of the stadium some Pats fan gave me total hassle. He was a real jerk. Anyway, I said to him "Gloat all you want. Come January both of our teams will be at the same place ... watching the Superbowl from their living rooms." He laughed and thought I was nuts. I believe the Pats only won one game after that. I like to think I had something to do with that. :)

Here's to kickin' some Patriot arse on Sunday!

Well that's what happens when you don't speak the language.

What he said was that the ushers will be more than happy to take you fans
to the "hospital" if it got a little warm for you :D

JGCF, we're not fighting, just engaging in some good natured pre game internet banter.

Besides by telling them they are going to fry I've almost guaranteed a cool front will come through Phoenix and we'll have nice comfortable weather for golf next week.

Well you might gone and messed it up ! The news last night said exactly that, a cold front is coming through and it is predicted to be around 96 on sunday, but down to 86 by wed. This could be a problem, as they never seem to have the days right here, they are uaually pretty close on the temp just not the day. Man it would be nice if it was 86 on sunday but really I am hoping for like 110.

I just saw the forecast. :D

Like you I don't know which I'd rather have a decent day at the stadium, we sit on the East side, or heat to maybe slow down the Patriots.

Considering the Cards have lost several hot ones I'm leaning towards the better weather. Especially if we want to visit some other tailgates which will involve some serious walking. As for Monday and Tuesday I'm all for cooler weather. It'll be a relief from the 95 degree heat and high humidity we've had here for the past month.

That's a damn fine ASFN out of town showing.

Now if only people from Tempe would show up.

BTW: I understand the Valley's fascination with the 'Huskers has taken a downward turn as well.

Can't even find a sportsbar with a decent Nebraska contingent for the Pitt game Saturday morning. Goldie's said only two husker fans were there last week.

Valley of the Bandwagon........has a nice ring to it.

Nebraska lose last week?

Yes at home. To Southern Mississsippi. Somethings wrong because, other than Nebraska, only Texas wins in Lincoln.

According to Bill Lewis, the hot Husker spot is Cafe Portabello up in McDowell Mountain Ranch.

Thanks, we'll check it out.

Well, I can't find anything on it. Anybody know anything about it or where it is exactly?

So I went to the game Sunday and I tried to find all the tailgaters. The problem was that there were so many tailgate parties going on that I didn't know which tailgate party was with ASFN people. I would have felt odd asking each party too. I guess the one suggestion I can make is to have a sign or banner that says we are ASFN posers or something. I was really bummed that I didn't get a chance to meet any of you, but it certainly was a good game!

dude, that's a bummer. you should have come to the halftime meet 'n greet. prolly around 30+ of us there. including a lot of out of towners (me, cheese, assface, stout, jersey girl, etc . . . )

Very true...It was difficult to find even with the map in hand. I asked 3 or 4 different groups in the general area of the map but with no luck and a few blank stares. A banner would be great.

Halftime meet was better but I think I missed about half of the people...We waited until after the Tillman Tribute and must have waited too late...where was Skkorp?

Suggestion:

One giant tailgate area where all of us can gather and start a new tradition. :notworthy
