I might have been wrong about the Whiz, but I wasn't wrong about that bust matty.

I still say his 2nd shoulder injury, plus Wiz never having any belief in him ruined him.

Leinart was scared to get hurt again & scared to make a mistake by throwing the ball down the field. He always threw the deep ball at SC & his rookie year, but a pure check down QB after that 2nd injury. Just my 2 cents

I definitely think Matt is a colossal loser/bust but everything he says in that quote is dead on. That's what I have been saying for years. I never thought Wiz had the passion/fire to be a good head coach. I love how Arians has his fiery side and actually gets on the refs for bad calls. Wiz would just stand there like an idiot and then make lame excuses afterwards.

Whiz has never gotten it.

Just my opinion of this; Whiz never got over the fact that everyone said it was Warner, not him, who got us to the promised land. So for the rest of his career he is stubborn, offended and determined to show the world that "the system works." That is why I was so over him here. He was so arrogant about his system that he literally thought he could put ANY QB out there and they could win, as long as they ran his system.

That's how you get into a peeing match with your 1st round pick, then wind up with DA, MH, JS, RL and all the other terrible QB's we had to endure.

I think he is a good offensive mind, and I'm thankful for the role he played in our success but Ego is a funny thing, and I think Whiz Ego has doomed him as a HC in this league.

Matty boy's comments, while completely immature, do give some insight on what a lot of us have known all along... That offense succeeded because Warner was running what HE wanted.... Whis was about as big a contributor to Warners success, as John Fox was to Manning.....Which I will at least give both HC's credit for knowing that their signal callers were much better at calling a game than they were.

Where are all the Whiz defenders now who claimed Whiz was going to rip it up in Tenn and lead them to the promise land? He did some ripping alright, he shredded them to obscurity. He never was and never will be a good HC. Gives more credence to the Haley/Warner argument that they were the primary reason the Cardinals even sniffed the Super Bowl. Mariota should be glad he's gone so he will not get ruined by Whiz.
