Most of me wants to call him a jerk but a part of me is saying dont let a visiting team and fan do that in your house.

That being said I once at SDS I saw Daunte Culpepper run out of bounds and toss the ball to a kid in a Culpepper jersey and I thought it was all class. VERY happy kid.

At least the guy gave it to his grandson...although didnt the bengals just score a td with that ball? Who would want that?

I saw it on tv, he took it at first and was being a douche but then gave it to the woman later on. Did he take it back again?

He never gave it back, the Saints brought her a ball later in the game. The guy was and is a POS about it.

I tend to believe that wasn't his motivation at the moment, but a CYA afterthought. Quite different than a Bartman foul ball pop up out free for all.

Check out the guys smirk and body language.

First of all we don't know that whole backdrop, but from my perspective - Screw that woman: She and her friend were standing at the railing at the bottom of the stairs, instead of in their seats, which were at least several rows up. (Check the two separate video clips of the incident.) I am guessing that the Saints fan had already had his fill of her when the Bengals player approached with the ball.

"Give no quarter to opposing fans!"

That's right. Plus how nice would it be to get a ball from a player from your team. IMO the Saints should have took that ball from him and give him a deferent one just to keep peace. Only a door knob would do what he did. He knew that ball was for her.

What I found hilarious is that Deion, during the highlights of the game on NFL Network, said "Ain't no way that brother is going to give that ball back." about three times. IDK if he knew that the team gave her a ball, or not, but it was pretty funny.

Good catch. I'm totally in now, there is no way that guy should give that ball to her. And as far as I'm concerned she didn't deserve the ball the team gave her either.

He should've caught it just like he did, but should have immediately pulled out his cars keys and pretended to pop the ball, and then hand it back to the Bengal chick.

Was in New Orleans for this. Saints fans blasted this guy because the woman was a local too. Saw several local news interviews that repeated that theme.

Well CIN won the game so karma came back on that one. I don't care if the old man gave it to his grandson as he says but the player was giving the ball to the lady, it was for her, the old dude stole it from her so he is a classless jerk IMO.

Funny thing about the Saints. They are ingrained in the culture of their city. They are everywhere. That town loves that team like nothing I've ever seen.

But when Bengals fans invaded New Orleans, the Saints fans pretty much welcomed them with open arms. It was the most welcoming city for an opposing team that I've ever seen, which is weird because of how die-hard that city is about the Saints.

Really, really cool place, especially for visiting fans, apparently.
